got no pride left anymore so here goes...

Firstly, let me say how much I detest the thought of asking strangers, but I've had to contact so many people lately that my pride is in tatters and this is my only other option

Could I possibly ask people to maybe share this around? I'm literally swinging on my last thread now, I'm ready to be done with everything and everyone.
Thank you for reading.

Hi Animeemo,

You may have attempted this, but it may help to highlight your situation to your local councillor.
There could be people in your area, who organise fund-raising events, which could also help.
Maybe something to look in to.

Much Love & Good Luck

Hi animeemo,

I just wanted to ask you to make sure you are receiving any benefits that you may be entitled to? Do you claim PIP?(Personal Independence Payment. If you are virtually housebound you should be receiving the enhanced mobility component rate and then in turn you will be eligible for the Motability Scheme >>>http://www.motability.co.uk/

Please also have a look at this website for cheaper electric wheelchairs >>>>http://www.betterlifehealthcare.com/view/refurbished-vienna-electric-wheelchair/9210/

Some of these wheelchairs have been previously owned, but these are ideal if you have a very tight budget and also need to raise some money.

and have a read >>http://www.grantsexpert.co.uk/get-help-with-wheelchair-purchase.html

Also have a look at this long list of charities >>>http://www.bettermobility.co.uk/charity_funding_options.php

Hope this helps and give you some ideas :-)

I receive standard mobility pip. I fought like hell just to get that and I don't want to jeopardise it because I pushed my luck. I've gone through occupational therapy and doctors who agree that I need a chair, but won't help me as it would be for outdoors only. I've searched for every charity that I'm eligible for and applied for all the ones that allow the individual to apply. As for the others that require a supporting professional to apply, well, my occupational therapist won't speak to me anymore because of how much I've asked for her help with those. I've spoken to disability direct, they looked around for two days and told me that my only option is to save up (I've calculated how long it will take and it will be nearly two years).

People say I need the help, but can't help. What am I supposed to do?
