Intense bursts of Flare-ups?

Postby Kylo » Tue Feb 28, 2017 12:51 pm

I'm new here but I've been lurking for a while and reading a lot.
I've been experiencing sudden intense flares. Like I will feel moderately alright and then everything intensifies from a 3-4 to an 8-9
I was at my grandmother's funeral on Saturday and there were points there my legs almost gave out from under me. My nerve pain was through the roof, my joints felt like they were on fire, muscle spasms were severe and general muscle pain was well above the usual. I had to take way more meds than usual to control some of it but I ended up somehwat spaced bcause of them (luckily it was attrubuted to grief) in truth the flare distracted me from my grief. I was in my usual state on Sunday.
Does anyone else find that deep emotional situations can create the mother of all flares?

Hi Kylo :-)

Sorry to read about your grandmother's passing - hugs to you.

Yes, stressful situations can exacerbate symptoms. Unfortunately, some situations that cause emotional distress, can't be avoided.

I hope you are not in too much pain today.

Much Love
