I want this topic to be a "Float to the top" type like the "One to show the non believer's". I think every newbie should watch/read these, in fact I recommend them to everyone. Should any of the links not work, please message me. Some of these links have already been mentioned here and there, some of them will be new to you, in any case it’s nice to have them all in one place for easy reference.

Some interesting links there Mr.A especially the one on the MRI experiments. If you come across any research into the effect that induced ‘real’ pain has on fibro pain then I would be interested to see that.

I gather that minor knocks and bumps can be unreasonably painful but it would be useful to know what effect, if any, a genuine pain causing stimulus in the back of the hand say, would have on the perception of pain in an area further down the central nervous system, like the hip, or indeed further up. I have tried pain experiments on myself to help my understanding of the processes involved, with some success, but of course I can’t tell how fibro pain would be affected.
