You could ask about what is available in your area, such as pain clinics, hydrotherapy, physio, that could be of help to you. This linky is about meds that are used to try and manage FM, that might be worth asking about, depending on what you're currently on, to see if there is something that might be suitable for you http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Fibromyalgia/Pages/Treatment.aspx

Sit with a pen and paper and jot down anything that is worrying you or you are concerned about and then you wont forget things when you are there :goodluck1: :goodluck1: :goodluck1: :goodluck1: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

Hello

thank you for all your replies. I ahve been to see my GP and she seems really supportive. She asked how I was managing and what i was feeling about the dx . I think I was in with for more than my alloted minutes and we talked over my medication. She wnats to change the anti ds but wants to talk to the hospital pharmacist to see which is best for me and she is going to ring me later. She also changed my painkillers cos I said the other ones weren't helping

We spent quite a while talking about pacing and work and other peoples reactions.

It was quite funny though when she asked if I ahd good days and bad days and I said no just bad days and not so bad days

All in all I fel quite happy today!! :)

hope you are all Ok today :hugs:

great
this is what i call
caring for your patients

stick with her and/but keep in mind
she might have bad/stressful days herself in the future
and might be dealing with you quickly
after all, she's only human too
nevertheless she's supportive of you
