Low Oxalate Diet

Postby fibrostar » Sat Aug 18, 2012 12:22 pm

Has anyone read the article in the Daily Mail by Dr Clare Morrison?
Dr Morrison diagnosed herself with FM and discovered by keeping a food diary that certain foods made her symptoms worse, foods that are high in oxalate. If you haven't read it you can view it at

It would be good to get you're feedback or if anyone else has tried it, I'm tempted to try it but sceptical.
Health is like money, we never have a true idea of its value until we lose it.

This article followed up on one from a few months ago, there are a couple of threads on here somewhere.

Everything about it seems so wrong, it goes against everything "healthy" in my current diet, if she wasn't a GP I'd probably just write it off as another crackpot idea, but a part of me thinks anything must be worth a try. Like you interested in anyone else's experience, though think a lot of people are put off as its not compatible with ibs which so many fibro suffered seem to have
