Getting medical notes

Postby Mumihippo » Wed Jun 05, 2013 12:37 pm

Does anyone know if medical information is covered by a subject access request? I have asked for info from doctor and they have just phones to say it would cost £50. Now noone had phoned and told me this before they went ahead and did it all already!
Can anyone please advise.
I was just asking for copies of letters, wasnt asking for them to so any other work.

All of my Dr's. and there are many charge for copies of records. The hospital also charges a flat fee for the first 20 pages and after that, so much a page. It is very much standard practice here.
