wonder if neurologist will suggest lobotomy? ??

Postby bandj » Mon Jan 27, 2014 7:12 pm

The doctors have fobbed me off for the last few months by saying they will chase up the rheumy. So I open the hospital envelope with hope in my heart. Well that little flicker of hope got snuffed out quick. They've given me a neuro appt! And other than poking and prodding and wiring me up to some machine, they didn't do much last time. Im supposed to have had an mri by now but that hasn't materialised yet.

still, as my friend pointed out, if they do a lobotomy things may improve! ! :-D

In a few areas it is a different specialist that deals with FM/has an interest in conditions such as FM. There have been a couple of mentions on here, albeit a good while ago, that it was a neuro~bod who had dx'd FM. It might be worth a call to the neuro~bod's office who you will be seeing to ask if this is the case. If the appt isn't because of this, they should be able to tell you what it is in relation to, which might help you decide what step you need to take next.

You could also contact the dept that deals with appts for MRIs and see if they can give you an idea when you might be having yours.
