Achilles' tendon decompression surgery

Hi
I have had Fybromyalgia for 5 years, I have been suffering with my achillies tendon, I have been booked in for decompression surgery next Thursday, What I need to know is how will the surgery affect my Fybromyalgia and does anyone feel the surgery cld be beneficial to me , has anyone else had this surgery and has it helped

I havent had this surgery but as far as the effect it might have on your fibro, everyone is different but the one thing all members who have undergone surgery have said is make sure the whole team knows you have fibro as we tend to take a little longer getting over things, so dont expect miracles :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: the surgery will help you and your recovery isnt hampered to much by your fibro :-D :-D
