Referred to Neurology - what can I expect?

Postby Dianeb » Thu Oct 02, 2014 10:43 am

I've today been referred to neurology because of my awful fatigue and (as my daughter says) crap memory!!
What are they likely to do? I'm not at all sure what to expect and it's making me anxious already.

I saw a neurologist as part of the process of being diagnosed. She did pain and reaction tests, and declared me better than average for my age. Conclusion, nothing wrong with me apart from FM. She was lovely and it was not at all stressful or invasive.

I saw a neuroligist and he was fab. He asked me quite a lot of questions and tried to get me to do some exercises but failed lol. He also checked for pain trigger points. He did say he was writing to my gp and wanted my one lot of meds up . My appointment lasted about 20mins. Nothing to be afraid of at all :-D
