The two conditions are very simular...

FM is chronic 24/7 stiffness & widespread pain & fatigue with in alot of cases assosiated conditions like TMJ/IBS etc....

Now if this is you?... seek a second opinion. Yes they should have done the tender point test to rule out or diagnose FM

Speak to your GP about your concerns and see what he says

good luck

I agree with Lisa, have a word with your gp and see if you can be referred to someone who knows what they are doing.

yes made an app to see gp. what annoyed me the most is i didnt actually see the specialist named on the letter it was someone else, my gp asked me to take a list of symptoms and i did, she didnt even look at it she was more interested in telling me to lose weight and swim but half the time i in too much pain to walk let alone go for a swim! i have three children to look after and i thought this would finally be it and get a diagnosis i said well what is actually the term or word that is my illness and she struggled to find an answer and said "wat u want a label" and i said no i just want to know wat is wrong with me ! and she shrugged her shoulders and said "chronic pain" im on the same medication as fibro as she said they use the same things but i just wanted to find out so i can say its not all in my head its very frustrating!!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that, I really hope you have a good GP and he can sort it out for you.

Hope you get the right result next time

Sorry to hear you are no nearer to finding out what you have wrong.
Can you ask your GP to send you to see another rheumy for a second opinion ?
