ME Clinic, St Albans City Hospital

Postby traceyarnold » Thu Sep 03, 2009 7:28 pm

I feel so annoyed, my Gp referred me to a pain clinic on 1st July, and thought it was strange that now in September that I hadnt heard anything. I rang my gp who said the letter had gone to the ME clinic, St Albans CIty hospital, on 15th July. I rang the hospital, they said they havent received it. My GP very good and faxed a copy straight over to them. But now they saying it is a very long waiting list. I have been waiting 2 months already, its not my fault St Albans have lost the letter. AGGGGGGG. Some Health Professionals just dont understand, that the pain, disabling illness that Fibro and ME are.

Has anyone every been to the ME Clinic in St Albans Hospital, would like to know what I am missing.

Many Thanks

Tracey

If it's part of the ME network, then it will primarily be CBT and GET based, with lifestyle advice and maybe some medications recommendations. I'd go to a FIbro clinic myself - there are far more evidence based treatments available for Fibro!
