specialists letter to my GP

Postby princess » Thu Apr 29, 2010 5:29 pm

Mrs ......... was admitted with suspected blocked colon. She was in extreem pain and was given fluids and put on starvation diet for 3 days. After x-ray and CT scan it was found that she infact had a blocked colon (has been partially blocked for quite some time). She appears to be spasmed which is causing extreem pain, but seems to be easing after 3 days of starvation and tramadol injections every 4 hours.

1. Partially blocked bowel.
2. Diverticulitis
3. 6 loopes on decending colon
4. lesions on assending colon - where the pain has been since last JUly

My Dr got a lovely letter (not) from yet another specialist. Have to go back to first team of surgical to see what they are going to do about the lesions, as normally dealt with the colonoscopy. But i cant have that because of the loops, so ? how they will deal with them or even if they will.

So thanks for all the listeners, my saga has lasted along time, actually since last July - but i have meds to eat, and med to go to loo and im feeling so much better its great.
No Nuts, no seeds, no raw veggies like carrots, no grains - all the thing i love and have been eating, so no wonder i was in pain, but then i didnt know did i?

thanks friends you have all been so kind to me.
If i can repay by listening then i will.

love

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: I can sympathise so far as restricted diet is concerned - after 9months of "slop" I do manage some days to have solid foods (but for some reason bread is a definite no no) so I sincerely hope you can get the correct treatment and soon feel much better :grouphug:
