Hi Tilli,

situation seems similar to yours

my linemanager's point of view changes with the wind

one of the ladies from HR was really going hard on me
the union was brought in by me
even when i managed to keep to their set target in the first absent meeting (or whatever it was called)
she invited me not to a review, with a well done, back to normal atitude

no, no, no she invited me to a stage 2 meeting,

e-mails were written back and forth

best was that she tried to convience me that I wouldn't understand what she was ment to have written

they wanted to continue to monitor me on quarterly and not on a yearly basis

my union rep fought ... we put everything in writing ... involved head of gmb and head of HR ... etc

stand before summer break was that I would be monitored on a yearly basis and that the meeting we had was a review and not a stage 2

now present time

I do work part time (3 days per week) and term time only (33 weeks a year)
unfortunately term just gone, I had 2 days off because of migraine (fibro) and the last 3 weeks of the term (plus 1 other day just before) leading up to Christmas
this makes it 12 days already for this accademic year

that's already over the statutory sick leave plus the DDS (pro rata for term time only),

(which we still argue about (well, this arguement is dorment at the moment but will bring it up again))

don't know what will await me after my return to work after Christmas for the next term
definitely a "welcome back to work" chat to see if fit for work
likely followed by an invitation for a stage 2 absence meeting

fog is now setting in
will try to make sense
in short

what i wanted to say is: fight on, be strong, you are not alone
and the same for me: i will also fight on and i also know that i am not alone
and that we both fight for each other
something like that

bye for now
all the best :cow-wave: Lu

No point "fighting on" any further. I fell too ill to turn in so just had to do it. State of play now being that on my return I'll have a 2nd disciplinary interview and in the event of any further abscence in a full twelve months, a third and final. The union has stated quite baldly that it's obvious I'll end up dismissed, just a question of when as there's no way I'll ever manage twelve months without further sickness. Oh well, nice to know they still support me....And on the meds front? Not going well and I'm seeing the GP next week to try something else. Good luck to everyone.
