how to find good GP after moved home

Postby fibro-lu » Tue Dec 21, 2010 9:00 pm

Hi,

I move home in August 2010 and still see my "old" GP
I now fall outside of the surgery's bounderies
He knows me and we work well together :D

In the new area are plenty of surgeries :dunno:
Any idea how to seperate the good ones from the not so good ones?
What questions to ask them to find out if they are sympathetic and knowledgable etc ?
And any other tip you can give

thank you

Merry Christmas
Lu

hi lulu,

if you look up the different surgeries online there should be some information on the different doctors, including their special interests.
for example there is a GP at my surgery who has a special interest in muscular-skeletal problems. i have seen alot of the doctors at my surgery until i found one i was comfortable with.

good luck, adele xx :hugs:

Hi Lulu if there is a support group in your area, it might be worth asking other members about GP's as they will have first hand knowledge :hugs: :hugs:
