Possible fm diagnoses

Postby Bebbe » Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:07 pm

Hi everyone, my names Bev I'm 37. I have been to see a Neurologist today who said she believed that I'm suffering from fm (patches of skin that feel like bad bruises, constant back pain especially around my tail bone)

Hi everyone thanks for the warm welcome,
The neurologist is sending a letter to my GP so I have to wait and see where I go from there, the Neurologist mentioned pain killers and gentle exercise at first but the thoughts of exercise makes me cringe, I'm in quite a bit of pain today after my examination yesterday I also have a loose S.I joint that likes to join in with the pain :(

When you next see your GP and discuss the details in the letter, you could ask if physio might be a suitable thing for you. Some people have found that doing some gentle stretching helps them. Hydrotherapy might be another suitable thing for you to try as well :D :D :D

The last time I saw my doctor she told me that the specialists can't explain what causes my symptoms and pain so they call it fibromyalgia
