We wouldn't recommend that some has a pressure point test carried out by someone who isn't qualified to do it. As has already been mentioned, it is a very painful process to undergo, even when a medical professional carries it out. If someone who didn't know the exact areas to test and the sort of pressure used in checking them pressed on far too hard, you'd need someone to scrape you off the walls, floor and ceiling. Likewise, if they didn't touch with enough pressure, and there was very little response from it, it could lead to people wondering if FM is what they actually are dealing with.
