Hi I'm a newbie :)

Hi my name's Jodie. I'm 16 years old and I've been taking care of my mum who has fibro since I was 3, but I've also had some symptoms of fibro myself so my mum suggested I join this forum :) I get really tired, even if I haven't done anything during the day, and an achy back which clearly isn't normal for somebody my age. I also get distruptive sleep which I've had since a baby; sometimes I'll sleep for hours on end and can even nap during the day but other times I just won't fall asleep for hours.
I'm not sure if I have the fibro or not, it might just be a teenage thing, but from looking after my mum I know what it's like. I'm a bit frightened that I might get it but I have a great mum who will help me ;) On a lighter note, I have a beautiful sister called Erin who has just turned 6 and a grungy, unsociable rabbit that I love to bits! His name is Kai and he's a year old now :D xxx

:welcome: to the forum Jodie

Love the pic of Kia :-D

So sorry to hear you are getting some symptoms of fibro and your mum already has it but like you say it could be just a teenager thing :fingerscrossed: as you are so young. :hugs:

Any questions just ask

:welcome: to the forum Jodie, Kai looks like he is one seriously special bunbun :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing:

Sorry to hear about your mum having FM, and I really hope that your different things turn out to be a teenage thing instead of this horrible condition :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

There is a lot of info and advice on here that you and your mum may find helpful, as well as support for each other.

If there's anything either of you are wondering about or want to know, just ask and we'll try to help you with it
