A night with fibro

Postby maizie » Tue May 01, 2012 8:11 pm

Hi everyone,
I have been reading the site for a while. Thanks to the people here Ive found lots of very helpful info.
I have had RA for 5yrs and was diagnosed with fibro last year.
Not sure which is worse !!

Dont know if you have a place for poems so Ill put it here.
Does anyone else feel the same ? Please feel free to comment.

A night with Fibro

I’m hating my body, I’m hating my pain
I just want to be normal again.

My body is twitching, my muscles all ache
My bones they are hurting. Please give me a break.

Sleep it eludes me, my heads in a spin
My minds working over. Thoughts will not give in.

My head feels like thunder, my mind won’t switch off
The pain is just awful. Please make it s** off.

I must have only dozed off, now I’m stifling my screams
My brain can’t decipher, if it’s real or just a dream.
My heart it is now thumping, my muscles are so tight
My body has gone ridged. Another terrible night.

The nightmares they are crazy, they give me such a fright
I’m hating all the demons, when they come out at night.

No wonder I feel lousy. No wonder I’m in pain.
No wonder I know what happens next.
It just all starts again.

I hurt when I wake up
I hurt when I sleep
I hurt when I long for
Just one good night’s sleep.
