Lancashire newby

Postby Fender » Wed Sep 12, 2012 6:55 pm

Hi. My first post to say hello

I was diagnosed with ME/CFS 3 years ago last month after a referral to rheumatology I received a second diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I have just changed medication to duloxetine and feel awful.

Anyone able to give me any information on how long the horrid side effects last, is it worth persevering or any other help appreciated.

Would be nice to hear from people who also share the suffering of these strange conditions. Especially if you live in the Lancashire area.

Hope to hear from you soon

My doctor took me off duloxetine a few weeks ago as the side effects were horrendous, i am now just taking Gabapentine which seems to be managing some of the pain and tramadol for the break through pain.

I also live in Lancashire :) Hi

Hello All
Thank you for your replies. Makes you feel you are not alone. Thanks.
I have come off Duloxetine and started gabapentine. Have slept for the first time in weeks so feel able to face the day. Will see how we go with this new tablet.
Is there a support group or anything near Preston anyone knows of?
I am not really a group person but it does help to speak to people who understands and are going through similar symptoms.
Take care xxx

Hi
A meet in the future would be good. Not sure where you live though or your name :-)
Email me and we can sort something maybe?
Take care,
Dawn
