HI my name is Tracie im 44

it's along story sorry in advance!
After being referred to a Neuro in Jan I was sent for MRIs brain an spinal cord, I had to wait nearly 5 weeks for scan appointment and then 2 weeks for results, which I've now had
My doc a few weeks ago scared me by telling me she and the Neuro thought id got ms!
She told me while holding my hand at time and said while waiting for results if I needed to see her just tell reception and she will fit me in!
Well that was end Jan and now results are back and MRI clear she has changed her tune and now gives me the impression that im making it up!!!

Here is list of newer syptoms which is reason she referred me

Pins and needles bad in right arm all the way down to ends of finger, I had a tight feeling in top of arm and it was accompanied by lhermittes sign when I bent forward I got a cold rush down arm too.
Bad bout of vertigo a month or so before arm (both now gone off)
The need to go toilet in night more
Buzzing calf muscles
Extreme fatigue (but has been on going for years)
Extreme weakness and muscle pain (everything tried to do felt too heavy) but this has been ongoing on and off for many years.

OLDER SYPTOMS Had for many years

Muscle feel bruised
Arms are affected bit more than rest of body BUT
My leg muscle hurt I have pain going up an down stairs
General walking can be difficult (somedays I feel weak and wobbly and other days very stiff)
Balance off I bang into door frames
Always tired
Memory not so good and coordination not good
Muscle cramps mainly during night
Mild tremor in arms and neck/head when at rest
Difficulty doing up shirt buttons and unlocking/locking doors
Eyes sometimes blurry (can't focus properly sometimes) however had eyes tested and im shortsighted
Insomnia (waking during night sometimes trouble get back off)
Also woken in night with back pain too
Never feeling rested
Brain fog (sometimes lasting nearly all day)
Body temp all over place im either freezing cold (my hands and lower legs 99% time always cold then I can be burning hot the next.
Can't sit still for long get uncomfortable quick have same prob in bed
Flu like body syptoms
Feeling of my head to heavy (need a chin rest)
Wearing a scarf feels uncomfortable as if too heavy for my neck (but have to wear wen it's cold.
Face ache from cold wind /ear ache
Teeth grinding mainly at night on occasion day time too
Strange feeling across top jaw (putting it down to teeth grinding)

OTHER SYPTOMS AN MEDS PROBS MAY OR MAYNOT BE RELATED

Nasal allergies for years used nasacort nasal spray
Antihistamine tabs used for odd 20 years or more now
Itching over entire body even palms hands bottom of feet (no rash on these occasions)
Other times hives (not knowing what triggers it
Eczema
Lactose intolerance
I have Crohns disease too (diagnosed July 2012 after many years stomach probs)
EARLY Menopause (started mid 30s nearly through it) this has been put down to Crohns but is it that?
Heightened sense of smell (this has come on over last 3 year's) can trigger migraine and sickness
Can't use plug in room scents and can wear strong perfume anymore makes me feel very sick.
Taking baths makes me feel very lightheaded and weak
Can't stand some noises (radio loud at work irritates me)
Difficulty driving in dark (sounds odd I know, feel like im blinded by oncoming traffic
Which leads me to sensitivity to bright light
Cloudy judgement when parking and getting out of parking spaces lol.
slight mood changes (not as bad now im through menopause)
Sometimes worrying over daft things that don't really matter.
food cravings mainly sweet stuff
ALCOHOL intolarance (this only last 5 year's) can't touch drop now makes me very sick and when I cud drink years ago had very bad hangovers.
Acid reflux
Swallowing probs (last 4 year's nearly choked on several occasions)
Hair loss lasted few months gone now (still have hair thank god)
Bladder pain sometimes
Heart palpitations butterflies in chest odd occasions
Tinnitus constant now, not too load and bothersome though
Dropping things

I think this is all! Sorry long post
You can see why doc referred me to Neuro but she should of really looked back over my medical history and referred me to rheumatologist first and my mum has fibro, her syptoms bit diff from mine.
I've been signed off sick by doc for 6 weeks now and I need to go back work cause of money but my job is lifting allday and im worried im not going to be able to do it! But my company have said I can try part time and must say if it's too much.
If I've put all above in wrong section then cud admin please move my post plz thanks. Do you all think I have fibro? Thanks

:welcome: to the forum tracie :cow-wave: :cow-wave:

Sorry to hear what you've been experiencing and dealing with over time, like lots of us you have quite a collection of symptoms and problems/conditions. Whilst what you have described could be due to FM, it could also be due to a number of other illnesses that share the same range of symptoms, so we can't say if it could be FM I'm afraid   The only person who can give you a definite dx is a suitable medical professional and to get there, I'm afraid it involves yet more appts with GPs/consultants    The best suggestion I can make is to go back and see your GP about the possibility of FM being the reason for your problems and ask about being referred to a rheumatologist/other suitable specialist and see how she reacts. Hopefully she will be open to the possibility and start things off for you :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

WRT to your mum having FM and her symptoms being different to some of yours, altho we share a range of symptoms, FM affects us all very differently which could explain why, if you are eventually dx'd with the condition, why there are the differences. Altho it is only anecdotal evidence at the moment, there are quite a lot of families where several members from different generations display very similar symptoms and problems, which can strongly suggest there could be some sort of hereditary/genetic factor involved :-? :-? :-?

While you decide what will be your next move, stick with us and have a look around the place. The boards are full of info and advice which may help you in some way. Anything you're wondering about, just ask and we'll try to help you with it

If your dog doesn't like someone, then you probably shouldn't either
