Hi everyone :)

I'm Karou, 33 years old and live in London.
My GP recommend these forums when I last saw him.

I was diagnosed a year and a half ago. I thought I was still dealing with the after effects from my gallbladder surgery but turns out I have fibro. :-? I was given duloxetine and tramadol, it helps a bit but I'm going through a rough time again with a lot of pain, stiffness, fatigue, insomnia etc.

I joined the forums because I'm hoping to get advice on how to get better or at least feel well enough to work again and hopefully support other members.

If you'd like to know more feel free to ask. :-)

Karou xx

Hi and welcome Ashton :welcome:
I hope that you will find all the information and support you need.

Hi fibro-lu,
Thanks for the link, I saved it and will check it out on my laptop tomorrow.
Sorry to hear the travelling is too much, I know how it can feel.

I've been to St Bartholomew a few weeks back but felt that the person who did the first assessment didn't have the best knowledge of fibro. He was kinda dismissive and whenever I told him it hurts he said not to worry until I told him well I am because I feel like he just broke all bones in my body. The report to my GP was as expected, he thinks my migraine is due to medication overuse. Just...no.

I wonder if I can ask for another referral to get a second opinion?

Sorry, I'm going a bit off topic here. It's nice to know that there are others from London here. Have there been any forum meetings in the past?

Gentle hugs,

Karou
