Hi all

Hi all,

My name is Gem, I live in the East Midlands and am currently in the process of being diagnosed with...well, something! Not sure if it's fibro or not yet. I've had multiple symptoms for months now. I'm just going to hop over to the 'Living with Fibromyalgia' board and post some of my symptoms to see if they ring a bell with you all.

Nice to see a fibro forum; I've felt quite lonely since falling ill.

Hi Gem and :welcome: you'll appreciate we cant say if it is fibro or not as loads of fibro symptoms overlap with other conditions plus the fact we arent medically trained and even if we were we cant see you :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Feel free to ask any questions you wish and we will do our utmost to help :cow-wave: :cow-wave:

Hi Denys,

Thanks. Yes I know, I just thought I'd see if my symptoms seem recognisable to you guys. I am under investigation and fibro has been mentioned, as you'll see if you look at my other posts. I am trying not to make any assumptions, but if it does ring true I can push my GP a bit more. At the moment I'm at a loss!

(btw love the waving cows!)

We have loads of brilliant smilies they can help express things better than we can at times     Always push your GP, thats your right just bear in mind that sometimes they are waiting on a certain set of results before they can include or discount a condition and begin to see the correct diagnosis.

One thing that might help your GP is you keeping a record of things during the day (and night if necessary) and taking it with you, there are Apps that are mentioned in another topic https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... kfibromapp this one was posted by Fluppypuffy and is very good, then maybe you could print out the information and take that to the docs as a visual record of how you are feeling, just a couple of thoughts of how you might be able to speed things up a little :goodluck2: :goodluck2:

Thanks for that link Denys, will check it out! I have been taking a list of symptoms/timelines etc to all my appointments as I tend to forget everything otherwise!

:cow-wave: :cow-wave: Gem and :welcome: to our little escape from it all :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing:

If your phone tends to be with you most of the time, using an app to record things can be the way to go. My phone has effectively replaced my brain these days, so has all sorts on it that I use to remind me and keep me going

I'm off to have a read of your other topic now :penguin: :penguin: :penguin: :penguin: :penguin:
