I'm 20 years old and apart to start my 2nd year of uni (which I'm pretty nervous about). I've been diagnosed with ME/CFS, and my specialist is trying to refer me for treatment for Fibromyalgia. And here I am!

Hello, good luck with your course.

What/where are you studying?

Hi, I'm studying Songwriting at Bimm Brighton :) I'm nervous because this particular ME episode started in March (and is the first bad one I've had) and I'm just hoping fingers crossed I can manage uni!

What do you do :)

Wow that sounds interesting and you're in a lovely area too.

I've been ill around a decade now but for most of that time I've worked full time & on minimal meds. I've been on a downward spiral since Oct last and had 2 week long stays in hospital & not improving (I suspect MS personally)

Anyway point being even tho I've been ill all that time I spent most of it working so it can often be managed.

I find keeping a WordPress blog really helpful, it's cathartic and you can look back and see cause & effect too plus it's free and there's a lovely app to use it too.

I've been diagnosed with:
PVFS
CFS
ME
Fibromyalgia

So I've got the collection over the years lol.

Wish you the best for your course, very jealous would've loved to go to uni. I studied chemistry, physics and biology at A level but had a bad teacher that really put me off afterwards.

I currently work in a school doing their number crunching, data returns, managing the database things like that but I'm more of an IT support person really I just kind of fell into this role.

Thanks for te reply! I hope you start to feel better soon, and you've given me some hope for being able to do my studies! Thank you.

Also have you requested/had a brain scan to check for MS?
