Hello from Hampshire

Hey guys,

At the moment i have not been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, but i am 99% sure that this is what i have. I have been diagnosed with chronic pain and have had several tests that have ruled out many things, i have been told there is no cause for my pain in the past.

I have suffered with sleep disturbances, fatigue and chronic pain since i was 11. I also suffer with brain fog, speech problems, confusion, i have a headache 24/7. I have costochondritits, TMJ, wide spread pain all over my body, i suffer with poor circulation and pretty much always feel cold, except when it is a heat wave, i have IBS, bladder problems. I often feel like i have been in a car crash, my arms hurt to just rest them on my legs, i sometimes wake up feeling like i have really bad sunburn, i also get sciatica type symptoms, SLJ pain.

I have recently returned to work after a few months sick due to chronic pain, the fatigue is now really bad, i am working part time which i struggle with and i do not have a social life due to having no energy and all my other symptoms. Ive probably missed several of them too due to my brain fog!!

I also wondered why i have so much wrong with me, until i recently heard the term fibromyalgia, ive done so much research on this, im sure this is it.

I have just been referred to a Rheumatologist, although my doctor was reluctant to do so as he believes fibro is just another name for chronic pain. He originally put me on Fluexotine which made my dyspepsia really bad, im now on mirtazipine to help me sleep.

I wished you didn't have it, but since you got the symptoms I wish you not to get frustrated and do your best to get better..and find a really good doctor
Good luck

Thanks Laura,

The Rheumy dismissed most my symptoms and fobbed me off, i have been refered to another Rheumy now that specialises in Fibro. I have to wait until next year to get my appointment through.

Fatigue is still really bad and has been labelled as chronic fatigue. I am now on Duloxetine which is helping slightly with the fatigue and it feels like it has loosened my muscles somehow
