Hi - I'm new to the forum but not new to my Fibro which was diagnosed some 10 years ago but I think I had it a long long time before that - Mum used to suffer with Fibrocitis but died at a very early age of 53 but it was obviously the same as Fibro . I've read on some of your forums that some Hospitals have you in for a couple of weeks to help you work out strategies to deal with your pain and how to pace yourselves etc and just wondered if anyone knew how I could find out where my nearest hospital is. I'm desperate for help. Thanks and look forward to hearing from someone. B

A lot of sufferers do a pain course, they are done as a weekly course at the hospital.

My Rheumy referred me to a "Living with pain course", it ran for 6 weeks from 2pm-4pm.

Ask your Gp if there are any courses run at your local Hospital, or if you still see a Rheumy he will be able to tell you.

They give you advice on how to treat your pain, they try to make your day to day living a little easier.

Barmac to the forum, I went to a pain clinic at our local hospital, spoke to my GP, was there for 8 weeks, was given advice how to treat my pain, some of it i used, but i got to now how to deal with my pain, everyone is different, what works for you, might not work for me, good luck.
