Getting fatter by the day

Postby shazgray » Tue Jun 15, 2010 9:35 pm

Hi, im Sharon, 47 and new to this site, recently been diagnosed with fm and coming to terms with it, however I take amyltriptalene which helps sleep and can not do without, but I have started to put weight on by the day.

Does anyone else have the same problem and know of a diet that works with fm sufferers or which other meds to take that do not have the weight gain effect? :banghead:

Hi Shaz,

I am also on amitriptyline and have put on some weight. I have found that my appetite has increased, feeling very very hungry at times - this feeling encouraged me to start eating too many chocolate digestives :) I have started to watch what I eat and stop the choc biscuits and I have lost a few pounds.

Best wishes for 25th.
