Lignacaine infusion

Postby catwoman » Sat Aug 28, 2010 5:25 pm

Hi, I am new to this site and would like to say Hi to everyone. I am also looking for some information, I am on the waiting list to have an IV Lignacaine infusion. I haev cancelled this twice as I have been told by my pain specialist that it can bring on a heart attack and other side effects. I have spoken to a lady that had it done just over a year ago and she is now almost confined to a wheelchair as her pain is very much worse. I would like to know if anyone on here as had it done that has had a beneficial effect from it. I am really struggling as to which way I should go on it, I dont want to mess the hospital about again or for them to think that I can t be that bad or I would be having it done, I am in agony most days and would gladly have it done if I knew it was 100% safe and effective, any help would be welcomed.
thanks

Hi Catwoman and :welcome: to the forum, if you read through some of the posts in treatments and medications plus some in living with fibromyalgia you will see some posts regarding lignocaine infusions. Hope this helps :hugs:
