I have finally managed to get somewhere with my surgery and am having blood tests next week!!!!
My regular GP told me that 'we should all feel some aches and pains when we reach a certain age' - i'm 39!!!!
This is the same GP who told me I probably had arthritis over 15 years ago when I went to him complaining of joint pain.
While living abroad I had a few nasty bouts of pain, once in my shoulder and once in my hip - went to my GP there who injected cortizone and local anasthetic directly into the joint. Anyway, I mentioned the arthritis to him, he took blood and told me there was no sign of arthritis!!!
I started to research joint pain and am 100% sure I have Fibro - I just want a proper diagnosis!
From the joint pain to all over skin tenderness to lethargy and feeling down, everything points towards Fibro!
So anyway, I went to another GP at my surgery, she wants to run a few blood tests to rule out anything else and hopefully then she will put me frward for a referral to a specialist

Just want to say this site is fab, so much useful info on here, and will be great to catch up with others - i'll let you know how i get on!
