Computer screens actually keep you awake because of the frequentcy of the screen refresh rate (or something like that, something to do with the flicker) so it's best not to come online if you are finding it hard to sleep.

Keeping a night time routine is good. I come away from the computer an hour before I want to sleep, and take 4 kalms (or 2 night kalms) and then read whilst they kick in. Most nights I get a good night sleep. Using lavendar bath products or essential oil in an oil burner can help relax me too (the proper stuff doesnt smell the same as lavendar scented products, I cant stand those products, but I get my bath stuff from Lush who do a range of sleep stuff, though be warned, the Dreamtime temple balm really does stimulate dreaming so that's no good for us as it prevents sleep stage 4 which is what we need)

You might also find that relaxing and soothing music playing gently in the background helps. Sometimes, if it's got to 2am and I still cant sleep, I get up and do some simple stretching exercise for half hour, and then I go back to bed and do relaxation techniques in bed. Eventually it pays off. Kalms are my greatest aid though. They're natural so its not like taking more chemicals (we have enough already!) and they're not sleeping pills, they just relax you.
