Had my hyst 7 years ago , I would just say inform the consultant doing the op of all your fibro symptoms as it is the awareness of how it affects you individually that really helps them to help you and your recovery afterwards , so they know what to give you etc. I am really glad I had mine done , they took everything, as I could not have coped with all that and fibro .

Hi had a hysteractomy 4 years ago, it was a subtotal one so they left my ovaries. I was diagnosed with fm bout 5 years ago. Recovery was bout 6 weeks and the pain after was not as bad as the period pain I was suffering before, Hope all goes well for you :D
