Hi

It's antinuclear antibodies. This blood test is used to dx several autoimmune diseases.

I have Lupus but my ana is negative but other blood tests were positive, plus I had clinical presentations to confirm.

I take it yours is positive???? If so I would think your rhuemy would run further in depth blood tests to see if you have something autoimmune going on plus looking at your history and family history.

I also believe you can have a positive ana and there is no sign of any autoimmune disease. Though my brain is not working and can't remember the ins and outs of it, it may depend on how high the result was.

Good luck with finding the answers xxxx

Hi,

I have had a few positive ana results now which is why they first diagnosed me with lupus before changing there minds and deciding on fibro. I just wondered if any one else had got postivie results as from what ive read it seems that its not something people with fibro often have. Although i do know lots of symptoms overlap so it is very confusing!!!
