Possible Fibro Symptom ?

Postby livewithfibro » Fri Dec 09, 2011 7:31 pm

I have a sensitivity to what I call " recirculated air". I get *disoriented, dizzy, tired*.

You know when your in an office building, all the windows are sealed shut & the air keeps being pumped around?

I make sure I get tons of fresh air at home. Rarely have a problem here.

Unless I'm moving a lot I'm hit like a truck. It usually happens quickly.

I do have asthma & smoke. I know not a smart idea but it keeps me sane. My lunch function is good, did a recent check at the doc. I eat healthy, work out, in good shape. I do not have any vitamin deficiencies.

From my research it looks like I have a reaction to the carbon dioxide in the air or something along the lines of that.

Thanks Everyone :)

Not come across it as an FM symptom, but I've heard that some people can react to the building they are in, Sick Building Symdrome. Some of your symptoms overlap with what are mentioned here http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/sick-building-syndrome/Pages/Introduction.aspx

I do get a reaction from the hot air heaters they use in cars, and I hate the air in big clothing shops, and pubs..... it seems "used up", so I avoid places where crowds congregate. I also have asthma, so maybe its the asthma, not the Fibro?

my mum really suffers with this but she is a bigger lady and has smoked 20 a day all her adult life, and has now been diagnosed with asthma.

it was funny when she first tried to use her inhalers as she was bewildered that is she is out of breath is has to suck up an inhaler.

also she seems claustraphobic with lifts/shopping centres etc but never thought of it from a breathing angle before.
