as if fibro wasn't enough!!

OK so, I have been living with this fibro malarkey for almost four years, just beginning to get a grip on it and blam!!!

Last week I went to the dentist (super chap, Chris Fountain celebrity customer) after the usual plesantries etc he drops on me the diagnosis of TMJD, ok, that makes sense, all the teeth grinding and so forth, right, we get me a mouthguard made and problem alleviated.

This week went to GP for routine stuff, mentioned I had a pain in my hip which wasnt fibro pain and had lasted about 4 months. She gave the area a good prod, and then had to scrape me off the ceiling!! ( wow that was an awsome amount of pain). Then she tells me 'you have a bursitis on your hip, think you best have a cortisone injection for the pain!!

Jeez, anything else you can tag me with before this time next week??

Sighs. ah well, best just crack on with it eh????

Be nice and smile to everyone you meet.
You don't know what they are going through.
They may need that smile,
and treasure it.

those inhjections hurt like crasy .

had them in my hips and wrists.

when had the hip ones couldnt walk after nearly fell over oh had to get wheelchari.

i was twitching like mad as well all over after at home laying on sttee oh though i had developmed epilespy or soemthing.

the wrist ones are the worse though. one side was ok then when i turned over he kept apologising so said ok its hurts more to lay on my ohter side than the actual injection itself

Hey I know about the Cortisone.

Had it in my wrists before the carpal tunnell ops. Thats why I said yes right off the bat, despite the initial horrid pain, I did really benefit from them.

Added advantage is me and the hubby know what to expect so he is gearing up for me to be lame for a good few days.
DH broke his ankle 2 years ago and we "forgot" to return the crutches so I will have to dig them out I think.

Another bonus is that the grandkids wont be able to stop over (love em to bits but they drive me insane and turn my house in to a war zone!!) so should have a peaceful and restful weekend.
