I am at the end of my teather has anyone else experienced anything like this if so please help me :yikes:

Sorry I can't help you. I know it's hard to diagnose Lupus and a lot of the Fibro symptoms overlap. I am sorry your going through this.

Why would a rheumy give prescribe for your eyes?

Hi,

Thanks for responding, The medication he wants to prescribe can damage the back of the eye so it has to be healthy before you start it just one of the side effects ! he has changed his mind now and has said that it is inflammatory Arthritis not Lupus due to a change in blood results all very confusing for me ! and not very helpful as at the present time I have nothing and am at home in constant pain and suffering with extream fatigue any tips on this would be appreciated x

Hi , I have lupus and there are many medications they can offer to assist with some of the symptoms and others to assist some of the major systems of the body which can be affected [ no cure ] hydroxi being one of them.
to answer the question re the eyes it is not "for the eyes" it is used in attempt to assist with some of the organ damagaing inflammatory issues and other things caused by lupus which is a complex progressve condition causing major damage to all systems if not cared for by people who know what they are doing. the drug can cause problems with eyes and so requires even more monitoring than we already require!
As for the inflammatory arthritis I would suggest the Arthritis forums and info from arthritis UK as again this is a specialist area and requires different care and management because of the way your autoimmune system is being affected. You should not be left in pain and need a good consultant who can assist you and possibly a referral to the pain clinic might assist too asap would be good! hope they get it sorted and dont let them fob you off..took about 15 years to get my lupus diagnosis having been told yes, no , yes , no a few times! Moving gp's and new consultant and we proved the results were positive after all!! take care. I
