hi, you are right it is all what you have said but you can get things a little better.

you need to educate yourself about fm.

learn to listen to your body.
do your best to pace and try to get the work rest balance.

it isnt easy and it can take time, but you will get there in time, even then you will have days where it still gets you down.

but also you shouldnt just put all new things down to fibro if you are worried or things arnt getting better you should get them check out.

never ever feel like you are a pest or hiprocondriac your pease of mind will lessen your stress that will lessen you pain.

also on this site we are all in the same boat so if one of us has a problem we share it and help each other.

i have found this site to be my life line in getting through my bad times and it will help you with yours.

take care xx

There is a new crackle spray that you can buy from Scholl but not sure if it will help as I've used it but not when my feet burn as its only happened a hand full of times thank god!!! O.o

Yep, me too I get very painful feet especially if I walk more than usual, I find soaking my feet in epsom salts gives some relief :-)

My feet burn at night and my hands during the day - wierd! I HAVE to have my feet uncovered at night. Cant stand any bedding over them and in the morning the first trip to our bathroom (about 15 feet away) is horrible as all the bones in my feet and ankles are so painful when I get out of bed. Luckily, the pain gets better reasonably soon once I've had a chance to loosen up a bit, but honestly sometimes I think, what on earth is this going to be like 10 years from now. Actually, I dont think I want to dwell on that, its too worrying.
Btw, I take amytriptyline at night which helps me get to sleep initially, but doesn't stop me waking on and off after a few hours with various bits of my body giving me grief. I'd love to sleep from 9pm to 8am just ONE time to know what decent sleep feels like!

Oh and another thing............

Does anyone experience body jerks. You know, that thing that sometimes happens when you are just going off to sleep and feels like you've just jumped off the bed? I sometimes get that in my limbs and whole body but not just when I'm going to sleep. I can be sitting at my desk, or watching TV and suddenly.............wowwwwwwww! Is it a side effect of my medication I wonder, or is it a FM symptom?

i hate the mornings when you forget and put your feet on the floor and it kills.

my feet can be the worse bit especially when overdone on walking too much.

:-)

hot wax treatment is great relief for them.

My feet burn all the time, even in winter I wear open sandals to work, much to everyone's amusement. My feet scream at me when I get up in a morning, or after a short time in one position - it feels like there are lots of broken bones in them. I find biofreeze gel wonderful at bedtime, really helps to ease them off - well worth a try xx
