Flare up or what? Confused.com.

hi folks. Sorry to moan again, but need some advice. I started to have mild flu-like symptoms about a week again now. Still got this mild flu like feeling but eventually clearing up in some ways. But this past few days, I have also felt abit depressed and even though I am slightly tired at night, I am not having a solid night's sleep. My bones feel heavy and I sometimes feel emotional and generally poorly. Apart from having fibro, I suffer with bipolar. So i am worried that this might be the start of having a bad flare up of fibro or my depression as well. I'm confused whether it's just the side effect of the flu or the start of a flare up of my conditions. I have been under alot of stress lately and just been trying new medication by my specialist, to which I have abruptly stop taking the meds in the week, so I don't know if this has got to do with the way I am currently feeling. What do you guys think, and is there anything I can try to do to sort it out. Take care folks.

I would seek advice from your gp. You didn't say why you came off the new meds so promptly but it's bound to cause some reaction.

Sounds like a combination of things, there's all sorts flying around and I've been quite bad since the weather change.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I'm with Ducky, you will be better seeing your GP about how you're feeling, esp with you stopping the new med abruptly. Stopping and med suddenly is never a good thing to do as that can cause its own problems, which when added to other issues can leave you feeling much worse.

I also suffer with Fibromyalgia and have Bipolar. The way your describing, is exactly how i have been and am feeling now. I think its a fibro flare up, although i feel mine has worsened in the past 6 or so months, and i find that when i get the fibro fog and the awful tired and heavy bone feeling then if am not careful it can bring my mood down....am seeing my gp tomorrow as this past week has been very difficult for me.
