Anyone else had this?

Postby leetankers » Sun Jan 13, 2013 11:54 am

I have got like a knocking noise in my left ear,it doesn,t cause me any pain at all but it,s really annoying. Wondered if it was just me or could it be connected to fibromyalgia.Lee

Hi Lee

I have never had a knocking noise, i sometimes get a ringing noise.
If this is a new symptom you should mention it to your gp as never heard anyone mention a knocking noise before, it does not sound like fibro so its best to get it checked over. :goodluck1:

Hi Lee
I get a tapping noise in my left ear as well as tinnitus in both ears, ENT do not think anything of it but I would get it checked it out

Yes I do.. also I can only hear TV if I pinch nose and blow air through eardrums. Weird huh? But I'm not a good example as I have mastoid ear problems. I did hope it was a build up of wax but alas no. The ent specialist checked and nurse cleaned my eardrums - so I just add this perculiar intermittent hearing loss down to Fibro :-x

You should probably ask your GP about it, with a bit of luck it might be the popping sound you can get with wax build up :-)

This subject has been brought up on the forum before Darren but up until now there is no know cause to fibro.

IMO i dont think it has anything to do with fillings as i only have 2, i am pretty sure my fibro is down to trauma.

There is still lots more research needed thats hope we get some answers soon.

Could this be your heartbeat? Very common to hear it when lying down in bed.
