hi, there is 2 tests my gp did on me.

1 stand up with your arms out in front with your eyes closed, if you cant last 30 seconds without going dizzy or wpbbly you fail

2 fallow some ones finger with uor eyes in every direction for 30 second if you dont last you fail,

if you fail both tests it could be, but my gp is also ruling out other things,

if it keeps happening you should tell your gp as we all know we should get each new thing checked out if it keeps happening.

take care xx

Hi All,

I have dizziness from time to time and the doctor called it labrynthitis and gave me some pill for it. It comes and goes for no apparent reason and when I have it I tend to stagger about like i'm drunk and the room swims when I lie down or when i bend down. It usually only last for a few days to a week though. I really feel for you people who suffer such a lot with it,it is horrid!

he is very good and said every time i have a problem that lasts longer than 3 days or new problems i have to go and he reasured me he wont think im a hiprocondriac as this worried me,

I suffer with this occasionally but I never have associated it with Fibro. I have Joint Hypermobility Syndrome too and vertigo IS associated with that as far as I can remember as is lack of sense of balance. Which explains why I fall over alot too. It can take a few minutes for the sensation to go and I think it is one of the worst aspects of the syndrome mainly because it makes me seriously nauseous too.
