Fibro causing inflammation of blood vessels???

Postby Purpledot » Thu Sep 12, 2013 1:53 pm

Saw a Neurologist this morning, and he mentioned that Fibromyalgia can cause inflammation of some blood vessels, leading to narrowing etc. I didn't really pursue it with him, but am assuming that this would then cause similar problems to the usual narrowing of vessels due to cholesterol etc.

Has anyone heard of this before?? It would surely explain my unusual and, as yet, unexplained brain MRI!

I have not heard of this although i may add that some times i get like a pulsing tinitus when my neck is sooo stiff this is caused by narrowing of blood vessels but always thought it was because the tension was pressing up against them. :dunno:
