i have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 10 years ago, i have severe lower back pain and feel like my knees are on fire besides other places, so i know what you are going through. also i wonder if anybody else suffers with their vision, my eye sight changes day to day , the eye doctor told me to buy the £ shop glasses in different strengths.having paid for two pair of glasses at the optitions ,as i have had a stroke due to antiphospholipid syndrome and diabetes they cant decide what causes the eye problem never thinking about the fibro .

How is your diabetic control. Fluctuating blood sugar levels over the day will distort your vision, eg flickering vision, double vision, blurred vision etc. As a diabetic you should be able to access the hospital eye clinic for annual eye screening etc. They're normally very thorugh and can ususally anser most questions .

Hi folks,

I've still got horrendous hip and lower back pain, my GP who I see for my fibro is away until next week so I'm going back to see him when I can as none of the others really know me and just hand pills out as a quick fix, but my actual GP doesn't do that he is extremely good with me and my fibromyalgia problems he also does acupuncture which works a treat for me.

i do see the eye specialists due to my diabetes and they were the ones who told me to buy the £ glasses , but i take quite a lot of medication and the side effects could have a underlying cause to the problem, as my diabetes is not under control due to my realy bad days when pain takes away my appetite or when i have fog days its hard to control it

Update......

I'm back at the GP yet again due to the pain in my hips, I'm struggling to walk and sort of distances now, we have a family history of hip problems but my GP doesn't even think anything is significant when I told him. I'm now sleeping at all and I'm unable to get out of bed when needed and especially in a morning when I need to go to work. I'm hoping he'll send me to a rheumatologist as I've seen so many different consultants from lots of specialities.

I need to get to the bottom of my hip pains as it's making me extremely depressed.
