Suffer with fibro and been having bad pains in my neck/shoulder. Having an xray to check for arthritis. Does anyone know if there is a link between the two??

I only asked Dr Googly quickly about a possible link and he threw this article up Link found between osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia pain A bit more digging could bring up some other info.

I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis last year and fibro this year. I also have an underactive thyroid.
I am a fibro fighter not a fibro sufferer. I will keep fighting from the minute I get up til the minute I go to bed.

I don know if there is any relation or not but it is interesting. My body is full of OA. I had more xrays done a couple of months ago for routine check. Dr said if there was a place for OA to be it showed up on xrays. He also was sympathetic. He said between the fibro and OA he said nobody deserves so much pain.

Ah sorry to hear that Theresa. Think there is a connection with thyroid and fibro. I had Graves disease afew years ago and developed fibro after that.
