Ive had big bald patches all over my head , thankfully they do grow back but it can take anything up to a year for growth to start reappearing. Always know when it is happening i can feel sticky patches on my head.

Diet...but only because when I am stressed my diet is tossed out of the window that leads to my hair falling out. Thank goodness I have someone with me that makes sure I eat greens :) It still falls out, my hair brush is a hairy mclairy brush, but my bald patches have not come back for some time now.

Debs67, What your describing I had 15 years ago, it was diagnosed as Alopecia. I had bald spots and generalised all over shedding too.
Ive had big bald patches all over my head , thankfully they do grow back but it can take anything up to a year for growth to start reappearing. Always know when it is happening i can feel sticky patches on my head.

This is exactly what I experienced. regrowth would happen, then go sticky and fall out and it took over a year for it to resolve. Used to dread washing my hair as it would come out in handfuls, ended up with a massive bald spot on the front wheremy hair parted, looked terrible, made me feel terrible and was not easy to cover up.

At the time it started I went and got all my bloods checked and they identified poor liver function. I went on a liver cleanse diet and took vitamins, which helped the liver and stopped the continued hair loss. I've been more careful with my diet since and apart from generalised shedding in the winter for about 6 weeks, I have managed to avoid any further bald spots.

I would recommend getting your bloods checked at least, if not already. Also look at your current diet see if you could improve on it or not, (lower fats, lean white meats, more green veg and berry fruits and lots of water). Also consider a skin, hair and nails vitamin, as its higher in the B vitamins, which seem to help. I dont spend huge amounts on vitamins, research shows cheaper ones just as good as expensive ones. My last supply of vitamins were purchased at the Poundland and Savers stores and I found them just as effective as Holland & Barretts and Boots vitamins.

As far as my research into fibro symptoms goes, hair thinning and hair loss can be fibro linked.

Hope this is of some help, and that your regrowth is speedy.
With loving kindness

I had bloods done in the summer and my female liver was higher than my male liver. Had them repeated 6 weeks later and the were the same. A few times that has happened and cant fathom out why. Doctor gave me shampoo for my hair and fair play it has helped with the patches and so far no more patches has appeared. I do take vitamin tablets. I did see a specialist and she did say i had alopcia and they dont fully understand about it. Did give me information sheets on it .

My hair has been falling out for a few months now, cant see any bald patches but very thin and can see my scalp at the front :yikes: even had to chop off my long hair as it was becoming very brittle and thin and whispy. Iv always had thick hair!

Could be a number of things with me, started a month after an operation so could be the stress of that or the anesthesia? then bloods came back im in the menopause so maybe that to
