I just read this and it made me think...

I have been on 24 hour oxygen since January 2007, and I'm wondering if my requirement of oxygen is because of FM and not because of the bloody thing that the consultant put me down as just because I hyperventilated that ONCE, at the hospital.

He says I have hyperventilation disorder, but would that require and allow me to be on 24 hour oxygen for over 2 years?

I doubt it, I think I have a seriously bad case of your symptoms Shaz...

just so you know that you are not the only one poppet.

Pain in shoulder blades

Postby avensis » Sat Nov 29, 2008 12:31 pm

HI all

I had that started in Jan 08 moving round to heart area, was rushed in to ER, they thought it was heart attack. Anyway it wasnt but still have pain in varying degrees all the time in shoulder blade through to my left breast, but when touch left it doesnt hurt, very weird. Very tired all the time and now have blinding headaches not sure whether its fibro or justy a tension headache.
Do not let anyone say you are imaging it, you know differently

chest pains

Postby andypandy08 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 1:47 am

hi all

well don't want to worry anyone, but just be careful if the pains persist
and you get very out of breathe then just tell your doc, but true about the muscles around your lungs and heart

earlier this year I had pains and was diagnosed with ishemic (cant spell) heart disease and unstable angina. on lots of meds.

but hey who am I to preach i too smoke , my only pleasure , dont drink so my pleasure is my smokes, and hey my smokes chill me (no not whacky either lol) and I believe stress plays a big part in FMS

Just putting my bit in ..... all the best for 2009 all

i get pain under my left breast quiet a lot, it goes away eventually but no answer for it - must be fibro.
Mytral valve is ok, so maybe wind or something.
But you get funny pains with this illness dont you.

I have suffered from costochondritis for about 4 years now and get really bad pain that differs from day to day. It spreads from my sternum up over the shoulder and down the shoulder blades and sometimes down the arm. It took them ages years to properly diagnose me with it, they kept telling me it was a virus  It can get so bad at times i find it hard to take deep breaths as it pulls my shoulder blades.
