Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.)

I know this forum is mostly Fibromytes discussing same.

But are there any people here who also have M.E.?

I have both unfortunately, both very different illnesses and together well - i wont go into it.

No reason bar id like to see how many have one or other, and how many have ME plus Fibro.

Yep I've been diagnosed with both.

You say they're both very different illnesses but because I have both I find it hard to tell them apart. How do you?

Thanks. :)

I have both fibro and M.E., loads of people have both; my GP believes them to be the same illness (but he's not British & hasn't swallowed the nonsense about M.E. being a somatoform disorder - it's not, it's been classified as a neurological illness by the World health Organisation since 1969).

Post Viral Syndrome is not the same illness as M.E.

ME.

Postby Julie. » Sun Dec 07, 2008 11:40 am

I too have ME as well as FM.
Mine seems to go in cycles.
Some weeks the pains are very bad.
Then other times the ME is so bad i almost collapse with it and have to crawl up to bed and stay there until it eases.

It took me along time to be diagnosed with ME.
I attended a CBT course some time ago run by the ME association and it helped me such alot.
It taught me the art of pacing and i have to admit i have been a bit better since going on it.

Take one day at a time. Tomorrow will wait.
