Hi Mel
I also have a sore tongue, not sure how to cure it. I have lost my taste buds as well.
Mine last for a few days then heal, i cant work out what food is making my tongue sore as it happens lots.
I also get ulcers on the roof of my mouth when eating someting like crispy foods & Crusty rolls
I use mouth wash everyday, still looking for a cure for the tongue.

If there is some swelling, and it is red and smooth around the edges, you should have your b-12 levels tested. B-12 deficiency causes a sore tongue, neuropathy, exhaustion, et al.

Many people who do not properly absorb B12 through the digestive tract will be able to take under the tongue (sublingual) tablets, and it absorbs into the bloodstream, which are sold OTC.
