I have ME and am in the process of being diagnosed with Fibro.

I have lots of different pains in my body. The ME pain is like my bones hurting and feel jelly like and over exerting actually makes me have flu like symptoms and things like fever and sore throats it ME.

I am new to Fibro(only have symptoms since feb and doc mentioned it 2 days ago) so am trying to learn the difference between the two. I have a differnt pain that goes through my body. It feels like my muscles are on fire and are so tense they ache constant. My muscles are very sensitive to touch and things like lifting items causes them to hurt, my arms being particuarly bad. I guess, from what i have read the last couple of days, that this is fibro.

It sounds like it but there can be a cross over of the symptoms which makes things really difficult to differentiate :hugs:

Hi

I have Fm and CFS, or so gp says. Most days my fatigue is awful especially when my legs are like concrete but very weak at the same time as thought they are going to give way. Every step i make my legs feel as though i'm llifting a ton of concrete. The only thing that helps that is exercise but its the last thing i feel like doing when my legs are extremely tired.

I think the pains and all the strange happenings of my body is fibro.

That must have been terrible for you to visit the same hospital your sister worked at. Would you feel a little more comfortable going to a diff hospital for your app if possible.

Could you take someone with you to give you a little support if you have to go back

Take care

I too have Fibro & CFS I can cope better with the pain than the fatigue :( it is so debilitating I just can't do anything. I also can't tolerate exercise either which is difficult to explain to a phsio who keeps telling me it's good for me

Hi there,
I suffer with CFS and Fybro. I was first diagnosed with CFS then Fybro last week by the doctor.
It is very hard at the moment, but the doctor said it is going to be a hard 3 years for me. The doctor also mentioned about muscle wastage as I am in bed all the time due to the pain. I try to get up - yet im in more pain when I get up!! You cant win with this illness .... but I am trying to get through it the best way in which I can. Right now I am not in a good way, but I have now found this site which I hope will help talking to others who have the same.
Hope you are ok in the lead up to Christmas. :hugs:
Merry Christmas .... x
