Sleep paralysis or Fibro

Postby Littles » Fri May 28, 2010 12:07 pm

I have been experiencing a total body paralysis when I wake up, in both the mornings and after my afternoon snooze. My mind is fully awake and I will my body to move but i just can't. It varies in time but this morning was possibly the longest I have gone without being able to move.

Maybe it's just another one of those fibro things and it's common.

Anybody else getting this one?

Thank you

It's not a standard Fibro symptom. Have you spoken to your GP about it?
I run FibroAction, a small national charity raising awareness of Fibromyalgia Syndrome. I am not a qualified healthcare professional. If you would like medical references for any facts quoted, just PM me.

No, I tend to put everything that goes wrong with me down to Fibro, especially sleep, aches & pains & mental health related things.

Made an appoint to see him, I'll let you know what he says.

I have had this happen a couple of times, mine was due to meds.
You should not put any new symptons down to fibro although most are its always best to get them checked out, you should not be getting this every day.
Good luck.
