Itchy sore clusters of sores on bottom and thighs

Postby sammy9 » Tue Sep 21, 2010 3:17 pm

Oh my goodness just when I thought it couldn't get any worse!!

Diagnosed with FM in 2007. Taken me ages to come to terms with being so ill constantly.
Then something else happens. Two weeks ago I developed a small cluster of what I thought
were bites on my buttocks and believe me were very painful and itchy. Over the following
days I got more popping up and on the tops of my legs. Tried sudocreme, savlon etc with
no effect. Now I have a nasty cold sore coming on my top lip. Think I should stay at home
indefinately as I am feel that my body is packing up.

Also I have a severe abdo and bowel probs associated with the FM. My tummy looks like I
am pregnant, I dread someone asking when i'm due so where clothes to try and hide it.
I hate my body and feel so embarrased.

Hello there,

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so bad :hugs:
Is there a possibility that this could be shingles? Sounds a bit like that to me...not that i'm any kind of expert or anything. Sounds like you should get it checked out just to be on the safe side though. :flowers:

Hiya,

Maybe? The thing is I seem to be at the GP regularly and feel that they must be sick of the
sight of me! I know that's not the right attitude to take but sometimes you think is it worth
the visit especially when they put it down to FM but offer no advice on what to do or how to
manage the problem. A lot of GP'S I feel don't have a real understanding

I hear you...sometimes I think i'd be better off taking up residence at my docs surgery....but if it is shingles then you'll need something to help your system fight it off. It's not something that can be fobbed off under the giant fibromyalgia "umbrella".

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi sammy,so sorry you are feeling bad, but you should NEVER put anything you take down to FM, never mind what the GP thinks, you are the one who is in pain, so i think you should go and see your GP, hope you feel better soon, :hugs: :flowers:

Sorry to hear you have a itchy rash. :hugs:
You should get it checked out by your GP, i know how you feel as i am always at my GP`s to but you should get new symptoms seen to as it might not be down to FM.

I get itchy skin and scratch like mad but dont have any rashes. Hope you find out what is causing it. Have you changed washing powder or conditioner or soap ?

Could it be thrush?????? I know my children have had it groin area down to the thigs in a rash. Or it could be some sort of skin irritation or maybe I slighe skin infection, You should be able to get creams to help with.
