Lump on Thyroid

Postby Debs1967 » Wed May 25, 2011 10:43 am

Hello Every one
My name is Debs, I'm a 43year old female, no kids, but a husband.
I was diagnosed with fibro just over 2 years ago.
Since then my health has deteriorated. I had a total hysterectomy in Jan this year.
March time I was recovering, but then in April i noticed a swelling in my neck.
The fibro symptoms have increased, along with a constant sore throat and ears and now extreme tiredness.
I had a ultra sound needle biopsy yesterday and was told that the total mass of the largest lump is about the size of a golf ball, then there are 2 other small lumps.
So! anyone else have anything like this, oh yes the blood test for thyroid function is in the normal rang.

Hi Debs
Sorry you are having problems with your Thyroid, i am one of the lucky ones so far and not had any problems but know there are a lot of fibro sufferers that do have problems, i am sure they will be along to help you.

Thanks for the replies they mean a lot.
I’m soo sad at the mo I can't find the words.
The fibro symptoms are at the worst they have ever been, or may be it's the thyroid playing up.
i can't concentrate on a dot at the mo, just managing to get the basics done, up wash, do last nights washing up, rest, get lunch, rest so on and so on.
i did tell my husband that I'm not sure if i can go on living like this, the head aches, the pains, digestive problems, and now these lumps. I feel soo bloody awful for even thinking this way.
I’m sure you know who I feel, helpless, a burden,
Thanks for listening
