Working

Postby kathmoore1 » Tue Oct 23, 2012 1:45 pm

I've been off work for a year now with fb.
I've been put on butran patches now, slowly increasing the dose.
If they help the pain will I be able to work whilst using them or will the morphine put employees off?

i take oromorph but many other mental health tablets which prevents me from working as i have been out of work for 5 years so i could not lie about what has been wrong with me. In time your body will adjust to the butrans patch and you may end up not feeling so drowsy. If this is the case why do you have to tell prospective employers? I would imagine if they found out someone was taking morphine, it would go against them but maybe i am wrong. What do others think? What will you give as your reason for being out of work, i think that will be the main factor as to whether you can get another job or not. Honesty is not always the best policy! but thats just my opinion. Suzy x
